Diesel Duck?
Yes, it seems my Dad plus a duck equals the Diesel duck. What is this world coming to?
The man who envisioned sailing around the world and taught his children to lust after the same is cashing in his chips and getting a tug boat? Steel no less??? Where is the man I knew? Motor power? Isn't this Mr. No SUVs???
It seems our jaunt up the coast to RI this summer made the man realize, he is in fact, a man.
Mortal, as it were. Not the spry 20,30,40,50 (wait for it...) or even 60 year old man. Nope, this guy believes he'll be peg-legging it around, in a wheelchair, smoking up a storm on the high seas. Sure he can ram anything this side of an Exxon Tanker and bounce off. Sure it is built by skilled Hong Kongese (or is it Hong Kongers, Hong Kongites, Hong Kongerolies? I give up).

Gone is the vision of my hero on the sea:Anyhow, to each their own. Tolerance is something I've learned (though, not from the old man- ha). At least I'll get a chuckle out of flipping off the next powerboat that gives me wake... knowing it just might be the old man. Or at least Mel will, as she is in charge of the flipping-off department...
